Hi - I'm Annie, and I'm so glad you're here!
First - I feel you should know from the start
that three of my favorite things include...
the future, the open road, and motorcycles.
They all lead to the unknown and hold
the possibility for untold adventures!
Which is also why I love coaching.
Coaching is all about blazing a trail - your trail - and growing and discovering all along the way.
When you work with a coach,
you boldly go where no one has dared go before - your future!
You take on the unknown by recognizing there are possibilities,
going out on a quest to find them,
believing grand adventure awaits you in the process.
But it's not just my love of adventure that has me so invested in coaching.
A few bumps and unexpected detours on my own road challenged me
to explore new possibilities and make changes of my own.
I know first hand:
It's not always easy to make changes -
especially changes you weren't counting on.
It can be confusing, daunting, and downright depressing;
overwhelming, unnerving, and sometimes maddening.
It takes time - maybe even a lot of time -
and waiting can be the most challenging thing of all.
And it most definitely requires hard work.
But it's worth it.
As a coach, I get to remind people all along their way -
The process of change is worth it.
Through time spent as an educator,
I realized how much I enjoy connecting with people one-on-one.
Through years exposed to the legal field,
I saw how lonely it can be to navigate unexpected and unwanted transitions.
As a writer (read: an idealistic dreamer with an out-of-control imagination) contemplating the endless adventures and possibilities of life
is, quite frankly, my favorite past-time.
As a coach, I get to combine all of these by
getting to know others,
dreaming big with them,
and encouraging and equipping them to take their own steps forward.
It is my privilege to do this.
And I would be honored to encourage and support you
on your own journey of change and discovery,
keeping your goals in sight
giving you tools to navigate your way,
and maybe even helping you discover a new vision...
for all the yet-to-be-told-but-there-for-the-taking adventures
that are awaiting you.
A few more details:
I was born and raised in Virginia outside Washington, D.C.,
and graduated from James Madison University.
I received my professional life coach training
through the Institute for Life Coach Training.
Founded in 1998, ILCT was one of the first professional coaching programs
to be accredited by the International Coach Federation,
which provides the global standard for coaching competencies and ethics.
I'm certified to administer the Golden Personality Type Profiler.
Similar to the more commonly known Myers-Briggs Type Indicator,
the Golden gives clients accurate and nuanced insight
into the ways they relate to others and navigate the world.
It is an invaluable tool for better personal understanding.
